What type of coverage is this?
This policy provides $50,000 of coverage if you die as a result of a covered accident.
Why do I need this type of coverage?
Because accidents are a leading cause of death and injury. Motor vehicle crashes alone occur every 12 minutes according to the National Safety Council "Injury Facts" 2008 Edition.
When is my Accidental Death coverage valid?
Your accidental death coverage begins as of the date on your Certificate or Policy.
Where is my AD coverage valid?
You're covered 24 hours a day — at home, at work, at any public or private place anywhere in the world.
What is the return of premium feature?
If you’re protected by the Stonebridge Life Cash Back Accident Insurance Plan with Return of Premiums feature and you die within 90 days (365 days in Washington and Virginia) of a covered accident, your beneficiary will receive $50,000 in cash benefits. If you don’t make a claim after 15 consecutive years of coverage, we will return the FULL amount of your premiums, in one lump sum. That’s $2,331 cash back if just you are covered or $3,591 if you and your spouse are covered. Then a new 15 year period will begin. If age 75 is reached before the end of the 15 year accumulation period, all premiums paid will be refunded for the completed number of years as long as no claims were made.
What is not covered by the AD plan?
This plan will not cover accidents that occur before the effective date. Exclusions and limitations can vary by product and state and are listed in the "Details" section.
Can I be denied coverage for AD?
No. We guarantee that you will be automatically accepted for coverage regardless of occupation or health. However, you cannot exceed $500,000 of this type of coverage with Stonebridge Life. ($350,000 in AZ, CA, CT, DC, KY, MA, MO, NE, NJ, OH, PA, RI, TN)
Will my premiums increase as I get older?
Rates can not increase in the first 12 months of coverage. After that if rates increase, we will not increase your rates more than once in any 12 month period.
Will my benefits decrease as I get older?
No. When the insured turns 75 years old the coverage ends.
Can my AD coverage be cancelled by Stonebridge Life?
No. Your coverage can never be cancelled by us as long as your premiums are paid.

Is there a Free Look Period on this coverage?
We want you to be confident you've made the right decision. When your arrives, you'll have 30 days (31 in South Carolina) to review it in detail. If you're not totally satisfied that the coverage meets your needs, simply return your within 30 days (31 in South Carolina) of receiving it for a full refund of premiums paid.
What happens if I change jobs or retire while covered?
As long as the premiums are paid, the plan provides continuous coverage to age 75 even if you change jobs or retire. You own the policy/certificate and can take it with you.
